Originally released for the Japanese market, this special edition of Chivas Regal blended Scotch whisky was inspired by a trip that Master Distiller Colin Scott took to Japan. Part of the blend was matured in Mizunara oak casks, which is rather rare in the whisky world but always intriguing. White peach, toffee-coated pears and vanilla-rich cream. Subtly nutty.

The Islay barley was grown in Church Field on Octomore Farm by James Brown – not the Godfather of Soul, but the Godfather of Soil.

Octomore 12.2 is a surprising whisky. A peat explosion with a Single Malt having benefited from a finish in Sauternes barrels.

The now famous Octomore 4.2 (Comus) has become one of the most acclaimed whiskies in the Octomore range and the most sought after in the distillery, confirming that the heavy peat combined with the mellow Sauternes wine is an incredible pairing.

Octomore 12.1 is a vibrant five-year-old single malt from Bruichladdich’s experimental, heavily-peated Octomore series. Matured exclusively in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks, it offers notes of rich malt, cereals, vanilla, orange, fudge, and aromatic peat smoke throughout the palate.

32 years. A long journey with a few crossroads, a few considered and inspired decisions down the line. This dram comes from the final 22 casks of the legacy stock distilled back in 1985 by a previous generation of Bruichladdich stillmen. This whisky was originally filled into gentle third fill Bourbon casks and lay untouched in warehouse 14 until 2012.
